Old San Juan

Construction day in Ceiba on the east coast of the island. Spent time cutting down trees that had fallen because of Hurricane Maria in 2017.

An afternoon cleaning at the Ronald McDonald House in San Juan. Had the opportunity to pray for families and give out Bibles as well! A couple nights after we went back to have a night with the families with prayer, worship, cookies and coffee, and lots of laughter.

Hogar Forjadores de Esperanza is a home for boys pulled from their homes due to unsafe circumstances within the families. Sadly the building was destroyed by the hurricane in 2017 and still not fully up in running. They use the space they have to be the best home they can, but a lot of it has been infested by cockroaches and animals because it is always open. We have had the opportunity to go back several times to help with a variety of projects: cleaning, rebuilding, organizing, moving rooms, throwing birthday parties!

A pro-life prayer march in Old San Juan fighting for the project 950 being presented before the Senate that would put some restrictions on abortion, since there is no regulation in Puerto Rico. It would also help better provide options other than abortion for women. The first center for this kind of information on the island was only opened a year ago.
